Entry Requirements:

  • Educational Background:

    There are no formal academic requirements. Training is provided Off and on the job. NVQs/ SVQs, BTEC Certificates and Diplomas and foundation degrees are available. Apprenticeships are also available. Courses are also run by private cookery schools.

  • Experience:

    Relevant Industry Experience will be Mandatory

  • Language:

    English Level B1 Minimum on CEFR Scale

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • requisitions or purchases and examines foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality.
  • plans menus, prepares, seasons and cook foodstuffs or oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes.
  • supervises, and instructs kitchen staff and manages the whole kitchen or an area of the kiitchen.
  • ensures relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen.
  • plans and co-ordinates kitchen work such as fetching,and cleaning of equipment and utensils.
  • ensures kitchen safety and food hygiene are followed accordance with NEA standard.
  • ensures proper handling and storage of all food items.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational budgets and maintain financial oversight, including liaising with delivery companies to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Collaborate with chefs to plan menus and pricing.
  • Promote offers and regularly update this on the website.
  • Address customer complaints effectively.
  • Please orders for necessary supplies.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate both permanent and temporary staff.
  • Organize staff schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining accurate records.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and service.
  • Manage administrative tasks.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent required.
  • Preferred 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Ability towork effectively in a team environment.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

English Language Requirement:

  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale.
